Oh, plus, it is not a dead post if I just add a new comment to it, it is still relevant after all, right? :) One of the most repeated rules in internet Forums is "Don't open a new post if there is already a post about it". Doesn't really matter if you believe it is not ok :) because people who have such problems will continue to bring it up via newer posts, so there is no meaningful difference between opening a new post and just commenting on an old one, right? Besides, for people who are looking for a solution, finding everything in one post rather than having to open 10 different posts is a lot easier and it also doesn't clutter the discussion page.
